52mm Wide Angle, Telephoto Lens & Filter Adapter for Canon Powershot G10 (an alternative to the LA-DC58K)

This 52mm metal lens adapter is an alternative to the plastic Canon LA-DC58K with 58mm threads. Problem with Canon's LA-DC58K lens adapter's is that it's over length is 51.56mm, which works with Canon's telephoto lens ONLY. When the camera's lens is fully zoomed in, it will extend pass the lens adapter by approximately 1mm, which is too short and will cause the lens crash issue when trying to use a filter or a third party telephoto lens, where the camera lens will actually crash again the back of the add-on optics, causing a lens error. Problem is solved with this third party lens adapter, it's overall length is 54.62mm, which is long enough to use any 52mm filters or third party lenses without lens crash. When the G10 is fully zoomed in, this adapter has approximately 2.5 threads extending pass the camera's lens.
